Care. Experience. Diligence.

Estate planning, elder law and veteran benefits are my sole practice areas and I have deep knowledge and experience with solutions that work. I want my clients to be able to live their lives with peace of mind, comfort, and dignity.

Since I started practicing law in 1973, I have been dedicated to providing thoughtful, successful, and cost-effective legal services to my clients. Seniors, individuals with disabilities, and veterans (and/or their surviving spouses) are an extremely vulnerable population. My approach is first to listen and understand my client’s circumstances and goals. I can then discuss applicable laws and advise them about the strategies I would employ to obtain the planning that they need while protecting their assets. A hallmark of my counsel is the ability to explain complex laws and applicable strategies with simple clarity.

I understand firsthand the financial and emotional difficulties clients face with family dynamics. During my career I have worked with many clients with differing needs and objectives. That is why I insist that every client be provided the highest level of personal service, courtesy, and respect.

Most people are not aware of the planning solutions and benefits available under federal and state law. Using proven and reliable strategies, I help clients achieve their objectives, protect their assets and where applicable qualify for government assistance from Medicaid and the Veterans Administration. For example, their protected assets together with additional government funded benefits can be used to supplement their care rather than exhausting assets with exorbitant health care costs. I have delivered meaningful results to many grateful clients most of whom did not believe they could qualify for such generous benefits while avoiding depletion of their life’s savings.

Elder law services and veterans benefits go hand-in-hand with estate planning and enhance the possibility of preserving assets for heirs and beneficiaries.

While my primary focus is planning, I do not hesitate to go to bat for my clients when they need a strong advocate. Whether the problem is a bank refusing to recognize a valid power of attorney, a financial institution selling an inappropriate investment, or assisting a client in qualifying for veterans benefits.

I zealously defend my clients’ interests.
